Season's Greetings

I hope you have had a fabulous Christmas.  I am finally starting to feel the December madness ebbing away. I started the month thousands of miles away with a great bunch of friends, have been away for my first ever weekend with my DH without my kids and have just about managed to get through the usual Christmas festivities & family visits without dropping too many of the spinning plates it felt like I was carrying!

Whilst the decorations are still up and we are still working our way through the selection boxes, I thought I'd share one of the cards I made using my fav Chrismassy set (Snow Swirled) and my fav colours of the moment, Crumbcake & Primrose Petals.

I am looking forward to Sale-a-bration (more about that next month) starting at the end of January. I have seen some of the freebies on offer, and can't believe how nice they are especially as you will get 1 for every £45 you spend. I must admit I was expecting maybe a single stamp or a couple of buttons but this is wayyyyyy better.

Also a reminder that the current seasonal Autumn /Winter catalogue will only be available until the end of January.

The perfect match

Normally when I am looking for a stamps, especially for mens cards, I really struggle. Even more so when its for my lovely husband. But this year my luck was in with the fabulous Need for Speed set.
I'm not that much of a Petrol Head but I couldn't believe what an amazingly good match it was for the car he drove on a track day. Its a simple card using the Bitty Banner sizzlits, a circle punch and my new giant Woodgrain stamp.

Christmas Workshop

Thank you to the lovely ladies that joined me on the Christmas 1 workshop, the morning flew by in a flash of ink, cake & creativity.

It was great how everyone made the decoration their own by making simple changes to the idea,  here's a few...

And here's Alyson looking very pleased with her creations.

Hope to see you at the next workshop xx

More Owl obsession

Just had to share the lamp I bought for the kids bedroom when I was on holiday, its so cute.

I feel my Owl builder punch coming out again to make something for the picture frame above the bed, it would be rude not to really! All I need to do is match the colours, now where did I put my Color Coach?

Open House

Thank you to all my lovely guests who stopped by at my Open House yesterday. It was great to catch up, we had lots of fun with the Make & Take and I loved how every Owl seemed to have a different expression.
There were however, far too many cakes left over...

New Firm Foam Pads

You’re going to love the new firm foam Classic Stampin’ pads! They provide better ink coverage for your stamps and just a light-tap stamping produces flawless images.

The firm foam Stampin’ pads create wonderfully solid images. The Firm Foam releases more ink onto your rubber stamp than the felt pads so your stamp will get an even, solid covering of ink that you may not have been able to achieve with the felt pads.

They still have the same patented flip-top case design that stores the inking surface upside down, so the pad surface stays moist and ready to stamp!

Available from 1 October when the NEW 2012 - 13 Catalogue is launched.

Wednesday, 29 August 2012 that it?

Apologies for not posting over the summer,  I was lucky enough to escape the UK for Spain but that seems ages ago. With all the wind & rain and darker evenings, its time to prepare all things Spooky & dare I say... Christmassy.

Is this for you?

As well as recieving a free Idea Book & Catalogue and earning Hostess pounds to spend on Stampin' Up! goodies,  my next Workshop Hostess will also receive this gift set (that may or may not be a bonus for her!!!!). The notelets & notebook all fit into the box, which is made from just one piece of A4 card. The template for the box was shared on the web, but I can't for the life of me find where, promise to link as soon as I do.

This might make a good thank you gift for a Teacher or one to post as its quite light & compact.

This week I finally had chance to play with the Sizzix Embosslits Beautiful Wings die. It lives up to its name, the butterflies are indeed beautiful and so easy to use. Most of my friends know I don't normally 'do' insects, butterflies or birds but this is an exception.

Red, white and blue

Red, white & blue, who would have guessed, maybe the Jubilee has a little to do with it.

I've used the Baroque border  Stampin' Around wheel along with the Creative Elements set of stamps. They are my absolute favourite, so easy to use & really versatile.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red & Baja Breeze.
Ink: Marina Mist, Real Red & VersaMark
Other: White & clear embossing powder, pearl gems.

And not even a whiff of celery to be found anywhere.

An obsession with Celery

Its true, I like the vegetable right enough, but the Ink Pad I can't seem to manage without. I thought I would share my latest favourite colour combo, and as you can see I'd placed Certainly Celery right at the front without even thinking about it. So I checked through the samples I'd made and I'd used it on nearly all of them. So today's challenge is "Walk away from the Celery, Lady.. right away".

I'd like to declare this blog... Open!

Welcome to my blog, a new place where I can to share all things inky with you.
